To raise awareness regarding the availability of guns and the consequences of carrying and using them; |

To raise awareness of the painful impact on victimised families who suffer death or injuries as a result of gun crimes; |

To ensure that the Criminal Justice System is response to the needs of the victims and their families, including advocating |

legal representations for these families at court; |
| |

To inform and support victims and their families by developing self help and network initiatives |
| |
|
| In furtherance of the objectives, STARR will: |

|
Develop posters and publicity campaigns |
|
Organise meetings and conferences |
|
Design and undertake training packages |
|
Set up an internet service - website and emailing |
|
Set up a telephone help line |
|
Provide online and face to face counselling for victims and their families |
|
Build a recording studio to support young people |
|
Establish a Memorial Fund for use for the above aims and objectives |
